MSR Photo Competition Terms and Conditions

General

• The MSR photo competition is open to participants from all over the world who have reached the age of 18.
• Participants are required to upload the photos to www.msr.ch/datenlogger-wettbewerb or www.msr.ch/datalogger-contest as a digital image file with the relevant information (mandatory fields), using the form provided.
• A maximum of 5 photos per participant is permitted.
• The submitted photos have to be cleared by MSR Electronics GmbH first. Entries that violate applicable law will be excluded from the competition.
• MSR Electronics GmbH accepts no responsibility for loss of data or other technical defects.

Photo requirements

• The MSR175 data logger must be visible on the photo.
• Minimum size of the photo when uploading: 300 x 200 pixels, but if possible the photos should be larger. The photos may be a maximum of 15 MB in size.
• Format: JPG or PNG.
• Photomontages are not allowed.
• By accepting these terms and conditions and participating in the competition, the participants confirm that the photographic material submitted does not infringe upon any third-party rights (in particular no intellectual property rights and personal rights). Any third parties recognisable on the photo must have agreed to the publication of the photo.
• The competition is supervised by MSR Electronics GmbH. Entries that violate applicable law will be excluded from the competition. The removal of inappropriate or disqualified photos is at the discretion of MSR Electronics GmbH and can be done at any time without comment.

Labelling of photos

When registering and filling in the online form, participants provide the following information: Username, e-mail address, brief description of the photo and photo name. The information is entered in the corresponding fields of the form. In addition, the date of the upload is recorded and displayed. The participants agree to the use and storage of this data within the context of the photo competition.

Rights of use of the photographic material

The participants agree that MSR Electronics GmbH has the right of use and exploitation of the submitted photographic material, unrestricted by time or place. MSR Electronics GmbH is thus granted the right to freely dispose of the photographic material of the competition without any remuneration being owed (e.g. on social media channels, in newsletters, magazines, at trade fair stands, etc.).

Online voting

Anyone visiting the website is eligible to vote. MSR Electronics GmbH reserves the right to remove votes without notification should it suspect voting manipulation during the voting period (e.g. multiple voting, using a large number of e-mail addresses or so-called trash e-mail addresses etc.).

Award of the competition prize

The users decide on the best photo by voting online. The photo that receives the most votes wins. Online voting starts on 27th March and ends on 31st May 2019. If several photos receive the same number of votes, MSR Electronics GmbH will select the winning photo.

The winner may decide whether he or she wishes to receive a stay in Zermatt worth CHF 1,000 or the equivalent in cash.

Excluded from the competition

• Professional photographers who earn their income commercially as photographers are excluded from participation.
• The employees of MSR Electronics GmbH may upload their own MSR175 photos, but are excluded from winning. Should a photo of an MSR employee receive the most votes, the prize will be awarded to the photo with the next highest number of votes that does not originate from an MSR employee.

Data protection

The data collected during the photo competition will be used exclusively for this competition. The name of the winner will be published. Valid for the MSR Photo Competition are the conditions from the privacy policy statement of MSR Electronics GmbH.

No correspondence will be entered into concerning this photo competition. The promoter’s decision is final.
