Man vs. Wild brings seasoned adventurer Bear Grylls face to face with the grueling task of navigating remote and hazardous locations and providing invaluable survival tips. The popular survival television series is broadcast predominantly by the Discovery Channel - the world's No. 1 provider of nonfiction programming, reaching more than 1.5 billion cumulative subscribers in 170 countries. This particular episode of the show was filmed in a dramatic fjord location in Western Norway in October 2010. Several MSR165 data loggers were fixed on to different parts of the presenters body in order to measure the deceleration his body's vital statistics experienced when entering water after he dropped from a helicopter into the fjord.

Man vs. Wild also used the MSR165 data loggers in a forest location to measure the acceleration and deceleration of survival traps that Bear Grylls was demonstrating on the show. This was to illustrate the amazing speed and power of these traps in operation.
