Climate monitoring in buildings
MSR145 climate data logger for recording of air temperature, relative humidity, light and more in living, work or storage spaces.
Too sticky, too humid, too draughtyÂ…. A recurring contentious issue between landlords and tenants of commercial properties, residential dwellings and public buildings. After all, well-being, health and productivity depend to no small degree upon a good and relaxed indoor climate. In the past, subjective perceptions have mainly dominated the debate on this issue.
The handy MSR145 data logger provides a fresh insight into this issue. Depending upon the model, this miniature measuring instrument simultaneously records humidity, temperature, light, air pressure and position, providing clear and unambiguous information on climatic indoor conditions.
Humidity
Humidity is the single main cause of mould formation in buildings. It can result from defective water pipes, the ingression of meltwater, rainwater, firefighting water or flood water, or it may be caused by accidents such as faulty washing machine drainage. More often however, mould forms as a result of inadequate ventilation. Preventative checks produce clear cost advantages and are far more straightforward than clearing up the damage.
Temperature
Monitoring room temperatures using the datalogger MSR145 is a particularly effective method of setting the heating and air conditioning system to work at its most efficient.
Light/Brightness
The light sensor is designed to continuously monitor the brightness of a room - an ideal means of cost and energy control! It is for example, possible to record if and when the roller shutters were closed - a method of ensuring for instance, that the air conditioning system uses less energy in summer in order to maintain the room temperature at the preset value. The logger is also useful in situations where you want to find out if the light in common-use rooms (e.g. the basement) has been turned off or not.
Air pressure
Monitoring air pressure with the data logger MSR145 will provide you with useful information about changes in the weather, high, low and ambient air pressure.
Position
Fasten the datalogger to a window for example, to check how often the room is ventilated. It is also possible to record whether the data logger has been moved or not.
Simple operation
The high capacity battery of the MSR145 allows you to continuously record measurement parameters over a whole year. Once the data has been transferred to your PC via the USB interface, evaluation is child's play.
